Data Safety

Last updated: 1 November 2026 · Companion to our Privacy Policy

This page summarises, in plain language, what the Field Camera app collects and shares, using the categories of Google Play's Data Safety section so it is easy to cross-check.

Note for whoever fills in the Play Console Data Safety form: this page reflects the App as built: no account, photos, videos and field data on the device, Google AdMob for ads, Google Analytics for Firebase for anonymous usage statistics (off until allowed in the regulated regions), and optional map, weather and address features that are off until switched on. If a new SDK is added in a future version, update this page and the Play Console declaration before that update goes live.

Data not collected

Name, email address, phone number, physical address, government ID, health data, contacts, SMS and call logs are not collected by the App. Your photos, videos, voice notes, precise GPS readings, sensor readings, form answers and scanned codes stay on your device and are not sent to us or to any service; they leave only when you export or share them.

Your choices

In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, usage statistics stay off until you tap Allow, and you can change the answer in Settings > About. Ads consent is handled by Google's consent form where the law requires it. Maps, weather and address lookup are off until you switch them on.

Data processed only on-device

Everything you create or import with the App (photos, videos, layouts, forms, KML and KMZ files, reports, settings) is stored locally on your phone.
